Hi

I am Shantanu Deo. A Big data enthusiast. A developer and software architect by profession who started his career in embedded systems using C, C++. Later started working on Java based softwares.

But when I encountered Hadoop and all of its cousins I was fascinated – rather blown away by its capabilities. After experimenting a bit with Hadoop and Cassandra I was totally sold out to the idea that future belongs to the Bigdata Family stacks.

Lately I thought of writing a blog to document how I started with Hadoop and my progression and experiments with various family members of Hadoop.
